Aug 23, 2008 - CMT Leaverages Mirth for Full HL7 Messaging Support
Collective Medical Technologies has selected Mirth for their HL7 messaging system. Mirth is an open source cross-platform HL7 interface engine that enables bi-directional sending of HL7 messages between systems and applications over multiple transports. By utilizing an enterprise service bus framework and a channel-based architecture, Mirth allows messages to be filtered, transformed, and routed based on user-defined rules. Creating HL7 interfaces for existing systems becomes easy using the web-based interface and channel creation wizard which associates applications with Mirth engine components.
Mirth will enable Collective Medical Technologies to provide flexible and sophisticated HL7 integration with hospitals.

Sacred Heart Medical Center located in Spokane, Washington will begin using the Emergency Department Information Exchange to facilitate better case managment of high visit rate patients to the ED. With EDIE's advanced charting and analysis platform physicians and case managers will be able to track patient trends individually and groupwise.

August 5, 2007 - ED Case Management Book Highlights Patti Green's Work at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center
HCPro's recently published book, Emergency Department Case Management features a spotlight on the ED case management work Patti Green MSW has done at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. Patti has been instrumental in the creation and implementation of a patient care management program in the Boise hospital. The program has been in operation since 2004 and has seen much success with treatment reluctant patients as well as narcotic drug diversion patients.
Patti is a founding member of Collective Medical Technologies and serves as a program director and social work consultant for hospitals with high utilization issues. She is the cheif architect of the process model behind the Emergency Department Information Exchange
